>a trip to medieval Lucca

>In Livorno, we took the train to see medieval Lucca, city of art. We only had 2 hours to explore the town.

I started the day with a pannini sandwich, zucchini and brie. It was the biggest sandwich in the world, and Scott and Duncan had a good laugh at me.

A happy lion greets us at the town walls

We climbed to the top of this tower, where there was a tree, and views of the city.

All those happy europeans, sitting along the canal.

I took this in the train station- I love the selection of pizzas and foccacias. The pizza on the left has salami and figs!
