>Myanmar

There has been a lot in the news lately about the demonstrations in Yangon, Myanmar.

Since the last time I was there in 2001, the government center has moved out of Yangon and there was a noticably more relaxed atmosphere and less police presence.

I guess we all know about the military socialist regime there, and their forced labour of the people to build up their tourist infrastructure. It is boycotted by many travelers. But this boycott hurts the people, as well.

Please look at how beautiful this country is, and how beautiful the people are. My posts from my visit in Myanmar are here.
