>Warnemunde in June

>Warnemunde, a great port, is the place we stop in Northern Germany so that the guests can go to Berlin. I did have the time for that but I prefer to wander around the small resort town. It is quite near to Rostock and Lubeck. I am pretty sure everyone goes there for a seaside vacation, which strikes me as funny because it’s never terribly warm there.

10am – we run ashore to get breakfast before Sherwin starts work. We wheel my bike through the halls.

Sherwin decides he likes my bike. I ride on the rat trap, holding on for dear life. Some school kids laugh at us.

We have breakfast

And a hot dog.

Yes I had a pickle, too.

We go back to the ship and Sherwin goes back to work. Then we go out again, for some fried fish for lunch.

I noticed this for sale on the street :

It was just a kiosk selling metallic instruments. Who would buy Dentistry tools for fun? Are there Germans who dabble in amateur dentistry?

Holding this thought, we go back to the ship and Sherwin works again. He is done early and this time we go out and do some Geocaching.

Oh yeah, I didn’t tell you about my new hobby yet. I have been too busy. It’s like a worldwide game of hide and seek involving a GPS.

We found one hidden here:

And here!

This was one also, except what is called a Web Cache – you find the secret co-ordinates, and there is a web cam there where you get your photo taken.

This guy is playing the trombone and the accordion at the same time. In one fell swoop, this guy has just marginalized himself among musicians for ever. I was in awe at the spectacle and gave him a coin. “Dankeshane, Dankeshane, Dankeshane.” he sang at me in sombre tones. “You’re insane,” I muttered to myself.

    >I feel so far behind in reading everyone’s blogs, Stacey, but I’m at least reading them. Lubeck is one of my favorite cities in the world, even more so than Berlin, so good choice. You are having so much fun, taking advantage of the places where you go. I love it for you!

    >At least he wasn’t playing bagpipes as well!
